Cumberland RV Park and Golf Driving Range...Bronston,
Kentucky Spacious
sites...very nice park and congenial people.
Chickasabogue
Park....Mobile, Alabama A note to the park, with
a copy to Recreation USA Camping Club, from Gene and Julia
Taymon Not only did we learn to pronounce the
name of the county park, we will definitely be back and
back and back. To say the least, we thoroughly enjoyed
our stay. I am sorry that I did not complete your user
survey before we left but am in hopes that this e mail
will suffice. I knew of the park through our affiliation
with Recreation USA Camping Club. What we liked: Huge
campsites, very large and clean picnic tables on slabs,
built up fire rings with safety grates preventing floating
fiery debris. Amid the trees, virtually cut off from other
nearby sites. (Of course, somewhat difficult for satellite
dishes (I ran 200 feet of coax to find a clear enough
spot). Most sites around me were able to find holes on
their respective sites. This is meant as a compliment
not negative. Next time we will visit your sports field,
Frisbee golf, Nature Center, beach, hiking and bike trails,
etc and may even avail ourselves of your canoe rentals
(probably not). What we didn't like: Improvement required
in the leveling of sites. I am not recommending concrete
pads, may the heavens forbid, but simply light dozer,
level site, build battens around and pour 2 inches of
gravel. Having said that, if I wasn't too cheap (or too
poor) to buy levelers for my motor home, then this probably
would not make mention. Finally, as with any public service
facility, the most crucial area is personnel. To each
of you that we had the opportunity to meet, you have far
exceeded the norm. Your attitude and welcome demeanor
were the first and last impression we had of your park.
You can be assured that we will strongly recommend your
campground.
