FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS
How
Is A Campground Selected For Participation?
Growth of our system is designed to provide pride of participation
for both the campground owner and the camper. Recreation
USA is networking with the best quality destination and
overnight locations possible. The majority of campgrounds
have been personally visited by the owners and staff, or
have come from recommendations from other campers and campground
owners.
What Is The Criteria For Selecting
A Campground? With so many RVers on the roads today,
everyone is looking for something different in the way of
location, amenities, etc. An overall safe, neat, and clean
appearance, location and ease of accessibility (for overnight
stops), and the condition of the campsite are foremost considerations.
Within that framework, our goal is to be constantly developing
a system that meets the needs and wants of all campers....large
and small campgrounds, destination area campgrounds, quiet
campgrounds for those who "want to get away from it
all", and family oriented and adult oriented campgrounds.
A large majority of the campgrounds in our system have many
of the regular amenities (clubhouse, pool, etc.), and/or
amenities such as lakes, rivers, golf courses, water slides,
casinos, etc.
What Do I Receive When I Join?
A Recreation USA Membership Card, which gives you access
to all present and future Recreation USA Inc participating
parks and campgrounds, information on participating in
our member referral program.
Will I receive a directory or campground guide? NO...we are an online discount club
How Often Can I Use Recreation USA's
Camping Club? With a valid membership card....everyday! Pays for itself the first few times
you use it! Each RV Park. determines the length you
may stay each time you visit. Many have no limits on the
length of stay, and will be able to accommodate you for
as long as you wish. Some may limit you to a week or two,
others to a day or so. At certain times the stay may be
shorter at any given RV Park because of special events,
rally groups due in etc., whereby the facility will be full.
At other times that same RV Park will be able to accept
you for longer periods.
You Will Sometimes Pay More Than $10.00 When
You Check Into A Campground...up to 50% off the parks regular price. We are now almost 14 years old and many parks cannot support just the $10 rate because of the high price of electric power and supplies. And Some parks may have additional
fees for all of their campers over and above their regular rates, (such as 50 Amp Electric,
Cable TV, etc), and you will be liable for that additional
fee, if applicable to you. And of course you will pay any applicable
sales tax due.
Do Campgrounds Assign A Certain Number
Of Sites? No, each facility participates in the system
on a space availability basis.
Does the discount price include full
hookups? Almost every park includes water, electric,
and sewer. A few parks only have water and electric, or
in some cases their base rate begins with water and electric,
with an add'l charge for sewer.
Do I Need To Make Reservations?
Only a few campgrounds require reservations, and these are
noted on the park's page on our web site.
How Will I Receive Information On
New Campgrounds, Benefits, And Services? The Recreation
USA web site is constantly updated. Each park has a full
page of information on this site.
