Fork Resort Association DESCRIPTION: North Fork Resort, in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, is located 69 miles west of Washington, D.C., on a mile-long shoreline of the beautiful Shenandoah River near the northern end of Skyline Drive. At North Fork, you are just minutes away from Skyline Caverns and the famed Drive. Favorite activities are fishing the Shenandoah and hunting in George Washington National Forest (Massanutten Mountain). Favorite tours are the Confederate Museum, Civil War Battlefields, the National Park, and the monuments in Washington, D.C. There is shopping galore in historic Front Royal. AMENITIES: 24 Hour Security, Lakes, Fishing, Three Swimming Pools, Clubhouse, Banquet Hall with Fireplace, Stage, And Kitchen Area, Billiard Room, TV And Puzzle Rooms, Gazebo, Wireless Internet, Restrooms And Showers, Laundry, Ice, Wood, Picnic Tables, Fire rings, Gravel Sites, Picnic Areas, Mini Golf, Horseshoe Pits, Basketball And Tennis Courts, Baseball Fields, Volleyball, Playground, Hiking Trails, Activities, Tenting, Pets Welcome.Sites are not winterized December thru April because water is not available at the sites. Restrooms and showers have available water. DIRECTIONS: From I-66 take exit 6 (State Rt. 340/522) south to State Rt. 55 west (2nd traffic light).
