DESCRIPTION: Located between Austin (20 to 25 minutes away) and Bastrop, the Oaks RV Park sits back from the highway....on 20 acres of land and opened in November of 2001. Area attractions include the capitol city of Austin, 20 minutes south, State Capitol, Austin Zoo, Ft Tumbleweed Old West Town, Jordan-Bachman Pioneer Farm, LBJ Library and Museum, Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, guided tours, train trips, and water excursions, museums, McKinney Falls State Park. A convenience store is 1/4 mile from the park.

AMENITIES: Restroom and Shower, Laundry, Public Phone, Modem Hookup in Office, Coke Machine, Shaded Sites, Horseshoes, Horse Friendly, 1900 Acre Nature Horse/foot Trail across the Highway on the Colorado River.

DIRECTIONS: From I-35N, Exit #240A, I-35S, Exit #230, and go East on Hwy 71 to Pope Bend Road. Turn right on Pope Bend Road. Take immediate left onto Union Chapel Rd (access road). Park is on the right.

Recreation Members will pay from $15 to $22.50 a day and may stay for one night. Rates vary based on site amenities (back-in vs. pull-thru, concrete pad/patio, heavily treed) Not valid for holidays or special events.
