Creek Campground DESCRIPTION: Indian Creek Campground is located on Cordell Hull Lake.. in the heart of Smith County where you'll find the best of everything the outdoors have to offer... camping, fishing, swimming, hunting and of course beautiful scenery. The park is 60 miles from Nashville, 33 miles from Lebanon, 25 miles from Cookeville, and 12 miles from Carthage. Shopping and restaurants are in Carthage. AMENITIES: Cordell Hull Lake, Boat Launching Ramp, Paddle Boat Rentals, Picnic and Swimming Areas, Fishing, Pavilion, Restrooms and Showers, Dump Station, Gravel and Grass Sites, Picnic Tables and Grills, Playground, Volleyball, Archery Range, Horseshoe Pits, Friday Night Movies, Saturday Night Live Music and Karaoke, Hunting, Horses Allowed (except in summer season), Pets Welcome, (with proof of rabies vaccine), Tenting. DIRECTIONS: From I-40 take exit 258, Gordonsville/ Carthage, turn north onto Hwy. 53, go several miles to 70N/53E, turn right and go about 7 miles to Chestnut Mound. Turn left onto Hwy. 53 (70N keeps going straight). Go 2.4 miles to Enigma Road, turn right, go 2.5 miles, turn left onto the first road on your left. The park entrance will be on your left just a short distance after you turn. RENTAL UNITS: None MONTHLY/LONG TERM SITES: None Recreation USA Members will pay 50% of existing rates on all sites a night...w/e at $12 a night and $13 for lakefront sites, and may stay Sunday thru Thursday on a space available basis. Not valid for 3 day holiday weekends. Rate is for 2 guests. Add'l guests are $3.00 per night. December, January and February winter season by reservation only (please call). |
