DESCRIPTION: Camp 83 is right off US Hwy 83, 7 miles from the North Dakota border, in central South Dakota. Area attractions include Lawrence Welk’s birthplace (25 minutes), Sitting Bull’s burial site (35 minutes), Oahe/Missouri River for great walleye fishing (20 minutes). Within a half mile from the park are 3 restaurants, convenience store with ATM, city pool and park, tennis courts, and basketball.

AMENITIES: Restrooms, Laundry, Public Phone, Gravel and Grass Sites, Picnic Tables, BBQ Grills, Horseshoes, Pets Welcome, Tenting.  Electric all year, Water 4/1 To 11/1.

DIRECTIONS: From Junction US12/US 83, go North thru Herreid. The park is on the East side of US 83.

Recreation USA Members pay $10.00 a night and have an unlimited length of stay per visit.
