DESCRIPTION: Located 5 miles South of Lafayette, on Highway 90, Maxie’s Campground is nestled under the beautiful oak trees, transplanted from the swamps of Bayou Tortue. Close to Vermilionville, Jungle Gardens, “Evangeline Oak” in St Martinville, Avery Island, Zoo of Acadiana. Arceneaux Pulic Park is just across the “wooden bridge” for tennis, baseball, basketball, playground, and jogging.

AMENITIES: Security, Laundry, Restrooms and Showers, Public Phone, Modem Hookup, RV Storage, Picnic Tables, Tenting Available.

DIRECTIONS: From Jct. I-10/I-49 and US 167, Exit 103A to US 90, then Southeast 9 miles on US 90. Campground is on the right and runs parallel with US 90. From Jct. SR 96 and US 90, go Northwest 1.4 miles on US 90.

Recreation USA Members pay $10.00 a night, and can stay up to a month each visit.  Add'l charge of $3.00 for 50 amp electric, and $5.00 for each adult guest over two.
