Palmdale is an animal lover and bird watching paradise. Sand hill cranes wander the grounds with their young. Bald eagles and swallowtail kites make their nests in the trees. It is not uncommon to see wild boar, deer, gators, armadillo, rabbits and turtles. The park is 2 miles from Gatorama, and 15 miles from shopping, golf and restaurants. AMENITIES: Electric gates with security cards, 3 ponds stocked with fish, canoe rentals, swimming pool, outdoor covered stage, clubhouse, full kitchen, store(groceries, camping items, beer, cigarettes ice), game room (ping pong, pool table, darts, air hockey), restrooms and showers, laundry, wireless internet, grass sites, picnic tables, fire rings, 2 shuffleboard courts, horseshoes, basketball, fall/winter activities, tenting, dog park, horse friendly. Live oaks and sabal palms shade many sites. DIRECTIONS: From the north: Lake Placid...go approximately 20 miles south on Hwy 27 to Palmdale. On the left will be County Road 733, also known as Main Street. We have signs by the road on 27. Drive about 2 miles on 733 to Sabal Palm RV on your right. From the south: take Hwy 27 to CR 733,1 mile past the "Palmdale" sign on Hwy 27. Turn right on CR733. We have signs on 27 also.
