DESCRIPTION: Elk Creek Campground is located in the beautiful Klamath National Forest, just off the Klamath River. Two scenic byways come together in Happy Camp....midway between Yreka (65 miles west of I-5, just South of the Oregon border) and the Pacific Coast. Area activities include fishing, hiking, river rafting, kayaking, gold panning, and rockhounding. Shopping and restaurants are one mile from the park, in Happy Camp.

AMENITIES: Beautiful Creek, Great Swimming Hole, Restrooms and Showers, Recreation Building, Laundry, Public Phone, Wireless Internet, Cable TV, Lots of Shade under Tall Trees, River Views and Riverside Sites, Picnic Tables, Tenting, Pets Welcome.

DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 96 in Happy Camp, go West on Hwy 96, and cross the Klamath River to Elk Creek Road, then right 3/4 mile. Entrance on right. Elk Creek is about 60 miles West of I-5 Interstate. The drive is very scenic (although slow moving) along the Klamath River.

Recreation USA Members will pay $11.00 a night for water and electric and $12.50 for full hookup and may stay 2 nights per visit.  Ask about availability of a sewer site. Rates are for two adults and children under 12. $6.00 for guests over 2 and over 12 years of age.
